How do I replace the battery in my MC03?Updated 6 days ago
The MC03 battery is replaceable. Follow the steps below to safely remove the existing battery and install a new one.
- Switch off your MC03 completely.
- Use the tool supplied with the device.
- Use only a replacement battery designed for the Punkt. MC03. To find out where to purchase a replacement battery, read our guide here.
- Work on a clean, flat surface and keep the screws in a safe place.
1. Remove the back cover
Insert the supplied tool into the notch at the bottom-left of the phone. Gently twist the tool, then slide it along the edge of the device to release the back cover.
Carefully lift and remove the back cover.
2. Remove the internal covers
Remove the five screws securing the internal covers, then carefully lift the covers away.
3. Disconnect and remove the battery
Pull the black tab to disconnect the battery, then carefully remove the battery from the phone.
4. Install the new battery
Place the new battery into the battery compartment.
Align the battery connector carefully and press it into place. Then reposition the internal covers.
Reinstall and tighten the five screws.
5. Reinstall the back cover
Before closing the phone, make sure that no internal components are loose. Position the back cover correctly and press around its edges until it clicks securely into place all the way around.
